Plaquemine Council 970 is located on Price Street and faces the South side of St. John Elementary & High Schools.The Grand Knight for 2007-2008 is Barry Comeaux. You can contact the Knights by phone at 225-687-2061, or by email at grandknight@kc970.org.

Officer's meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of the month at 7:00 P.M. in the Council Chamber. General Membership meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00 P.M. in the Council Chamber.

Council 970 was founded February 19, 1905 and was the first council west of the Mississippi in Louisiana and the third in the state. To learn the complete history of the council, click here.

The Area Horseshoe Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, July 26th in Pierre Part, La.

The State Horseshoe Tournament is being held on Saturday, September 13th at the C M "Mike" Zito Multi-Purpose Center in Plaquemine, La. The Senior Single entry form is posted HERE for your convenience. If you are 70 or over, you don't have to qualify in the area tournament.
